I have seen videos of IED's going off, and car bombs.

Reminds me of the movie where they use a bunch of dynamite to blow a safe. Blows the safe completely up, destroying the safe, and it's contents. What one would call OVERDOING IT.

There isn't enough armor to stop an explosion like that. Well, there is, but if you put it on a humvee, it would have four flat tires, and only move about 1 foot every minute.

Most of the humvees were armored. After suffering SUICIDER's, IED'S (which means IMPROVISED, not IMPROVED, the MSM getting it wrong, as usual, never bothering to verify anything), rocket attacks, rifle grenades, the soldiers went looking for scrap to RE-ARMOR the HUMVEE's.

The MSM amplified the MONSTER GARAGE concept, not explaining that this was to replaced battered, broken armor that was already on the vehicles.

No doubt, some HUMVEE's didn't have any, some didn't have very good, some not enough, ARMOR, but in general, they did.

LIES,LIES,LIES to embarrass RUMSFIELD, to attack, piece by piece, the ADMIN STAFF surrounding President BUSH.

WW II , it took the US TWO YEARS to get up to speed, and have TANKS, AIRPLANES, BOMBS, HAND GRENADES, MORTARS, you name it, in enough supply to adequately support our troops.

Back then, most MEN were in the war, most WOMEN worked in the factories making the planes (most=every female available(not pregnant). Huge factories were built or old one's converted FIRST to build this armament.

TODAY, we have no such LARGE-SCALE buildup going on. The companies mfg. ARMOR are SCALING up per GOVT NEEDS, and have offered to do even more, if needed, TO PROTECT OUR SOLDIERS. People are buying and mailing personal armor to our soldiers.

ALL of this is GOOD. What isn't? A LYING, BACKSTABBING, TRAITOROUS MSM that can do nothing more than BITCH, and BITCH about things that aren't even true.

HOW MUCH MONEY DID THE NYTIMES CONTRIBUTE to the SOLDIERS?
HOW MUCH MONEY DID THE WASHPOST CONTRIBUTE to the SOLDIERS?

HOW MANY LIVES have been endangered or TAKEN because of the LIES that MSM like CBS, NBC,ABC,CNN, NYTIMES, WASHPOST spread?

To all those MSMs. SHUT UP. No one cares what you have to say anymore, and be careful. You never know when SHOOTING TRAITORS ON SIGHT will become an accepted sport again.

I liked this one:

“When armor was a problem, it was not a story,” said Lt. Col. Bruce Haselden, commander of the 210th Forward Support Battalion of the 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division. “Now it’s a story, but not a problem.”

I also thought that pretty well summed it up.

soldiers tend to traffic in rumor and gossip.

That's what I heard.
I had a flight chief that always said "Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see."
