I grew up in Chula Vista. 2nd grade, 4th grade then 7th grade through college. My mom still lives in our family home in Chula Vista. The city was a nice place when we occupied our new home in 1961. I bought a condo near Hilltop and Orange in 1978 and lived there until I purchased a house in Mira Mesa in 1983. I sold the Mira Mesa house in 2001 after moving to Idaho. My parents put me up at the home in Chula Vista during the transition to Idaho in late 2001. The city has really gone downhill. When mom passes on, the house will be sold. I have no interest in ever living in Chula Vista again.
