Liberal Rage [liberal hate speech....]

Liberal Rage Posted 1/5/2005 By JASON MAOZ, Senior Editor

Since 1994, Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby has devoted a column every December to highlighting the year’s most egregious examples of liberal hate speech. Jacoby describes 2004 as “another year in which liberals engaged in, and mostly got away with, grotesque slanders and slurs about conservatives — the kind of poisonous rhetoric that should be beyond the pale in a decent society.”

That liberals are world class haters is a fact of life apparent to any sentient being with an IQ higher than that of, say, a typical television anchorperson. This is particularly true in the wake of the extended post-election tantrum thrown last fall by allegedly sane and sophisticated liberals, who heaped the ugliest calumnies and invective on the heads of tens of millions of their countrymen whose only sin was voting to reelect President Bush.

Jacoby notes that once again this year “Republicans were almost routinely associated with Nazi Germany.” Former vice president Al Gore — these days nothing more than a bloated shouter whose endorsement of another accomplished screamer, Howard Dean, helped send the latter’s presidential campaign into a fatal tailspin — characterized Republican activists as “brown shirts.” Hugh Pearson, a Newsday columnist, beheld the Republican National Convention and was reminded of “Nazi rallies held in Germany during the reign of Adolf Hitler.” Singer Linda Ronstadt reflected on the election results and lamented that “we’ve got a new bunch of Hitlers.”

Tarring Republicans with the “Nazi” or “racist” label is, of course, old hat for liberal hatemongers.

I had the misfortune of listening to Air America last night at about 10 pm Central and some nut was raving on about the "Republicans are Nazis" theme and he went so far as to say to all of us who voted for George W. Bush, "Damn you all to hell!" He repeated that several times. He then went on to say that Democracy is over in the United States and that a Theocracy was being formed. Pure, 100% unadulterated hate speech.

And these are the tolerant and compassionate folks. Who exhibit it for every one except for conservatives.

I need an answer -- Why is it that the dem-lib-socialists can spew anything from their mouths and never be called on it, but the Republicans can't say anything without being criticized? I continue to be dumbfounded.

Not that I don't defeat them in the arena of ideas, but three rounds in the ring with the gloves on is all I ask.

Don't be dumbfounded - the left is evil. Evil exists in our country and has draped itself in the cloak of peace. What else can one expect of the children of Marx and Lenin. Arm yourself for our coming civil war. We shall win - Glory, Glory Halleluia- I'm not kidding.

Yep. I happened to hear that too. Did you catch the part where he mentioned that the suicide bomber who blew up that mess tent was a Saudi, and called him "one of Bush's Saudi friends"? Unbeliveable.

I occasionly listen to AA and read the DU. I find the observing the meltdown of the left to be morbidly fascinating, like driving by a bad car wreck. In addition to the most gross accuasations by the left, what's notable is the utter lack of any expression of a contradictory opinion. The articles of faith among this crowd include...

Republicans are the same as Nazis.

There was a massive conspiracy to steal the last election. The exit polls were right and are proof that the election was a fraud. If not for this fantasy they would have to conclude that the majority of Americans are either pro-Nazi, to too stupid/indifferent to care (actually they also claim this at times).

Bush is just waiting to impose a draft.

American troops are war criminals, the terrorists in Iraq are "resistance fighters", and "Iraqis who are defending their country" (unless they are "Bush's Saudi friends"). Occasionaly a DUer who has relatives serving in the military will object to calling US troops war criminals, and say it is only the adminstration who are war criminals. Not many though.

Republicans want Americans to live in poverty ruled by rich elites. "Ownerhsip society" means a return to slavery.

Reforming social security is just a trick to starve old people and throw invalids out in the street, while making stockbrokers richer. There is nothing Republcans enjoy doing more than making people destitute, unless it is killing inocent civilians overseas.

Republicans want a theocracy. A handful of the most extreme nutcakes who want the US Constitution replaced with "Biblical law" are constantly referred to as typical of Christian Conservatives.

There is a huge majority of people who are ready to support them and get rid of the Republicans, if only the Democrat party would stand up to the evil Republicans.

Wildcat, with all due respect you sound like the lefties on DU whose simple answer is that Republicans are evil. I know lots of lefties, and the majority of them are not evil people, they are just wrong about almost everything. Most are quite well intentioned, and live good and decent lives. They just have accepted the wrong premises on which to base their worldview. Fortuately many realize this in time, which is why so many coservatives are ex-lefties.

I'll say it again -- the left and media are our true enemies - our domestic enemies. They are, in fact, more dangerous to the true America than any foreign element. They work in concert with our foreign adversaries to undermine and poison our culture from within...gradually bleeding us of our lifeblood and draining our moral fiber - starting with our most vulnerable - our children.

As ugly as it may seem, we're going to have to wage a different kind of war (but still a war that may actually LOOK like a war) here at home, folks.

I hope enough of us are ready -- because they are planning, strengthening, and gathering.

No foolin'.

Here's Rangel again, referring to the Republicans. 1994 Contract With America: "When I compare this to what happened in Germany, I hope you see the similarities to what is happening to us."

If reporters were doing their job, alot of this nonsense would stop. A responsible reporter upon hearing this should immediately challenge a politician to substantiate the analogy. Then it should be followed up with how the explanation of the analogy does or does not apply to the actual history.

My guess is that neither Rangel, nor a majority of reporters, have any knowledge of history. It's an omission of facts because, well, they simply don't know or want to spend the time to be well versed in them because they conflict with what they want to believe.

90% plus of the mainstream mediots are dim's. They get their talking points from the DNC, and never, ever speak a foul word against one of their own, unless someone really crosses the line, or it suits their agenda. Compare the CBS memo-gate scandal; do you think that if someone walked in with verified documents that made Kerry looked bad, they would have made in to air? No way in hell my friend. Now compare that to Dan Blather going on national tv, and propagating a hoax on the nation, where he used poorly faked documents, made no attempt to contact any of the principles involved, made only a token attempt at vetting the documents, and did so at a crucial point in the campaign. Does anyone here think that Kerry would have been treated the same way, even if verified documents were presented to a mainstream mediot? That's how dims can take all kinds of cheap shots, use extreme rhetoric, and outright mislead people and not get called on it.

Thanks, guys! I guess I knew the answers, but I am so incredulous by the dem-lib-socialist's brazen swill, that I can't think straight. I'm glad there are more of us than there are of them! The red-staters put it to 'em on election day! Freepers are the best!
