No arguments from me: Fosters is a good drop and worthy of a "session" anywhere...but Turkey?
I thought Turkey is a Muslim country, and the Muslims are OFF the grog (could explain a lot, actually).
WHAT'SGOINONHERE?

Maybe the Turkish polluted groundwater will improve its taste. Fosters makes Canadian beer seem tasty.

I've never tasted Canadian beer, but there's nothing wrong with Fosters.

If any of this brew is exported to the U.S., that will end my consumption of Fosters

Canadian beers taste like Bud Light, with a bad aftertaste. As for Fosters, well, I'll just call it uniquely Australian.

I never had it but my brother had a beer can collection when we were growing up and I remember that huge oil can looking thing like it was yesterday. On a side note, I hate Australian Cabernet. Sorry. Hahahaha

Foster's Bitter is my favorite next to a dark and nasty stout.

Local Turkish beers are extremely good, Efes is as good a beer as you could find anywhere. One of the most important qualities for a good beer, local production, volume turnover, freshness.
To: rocksblues
I was at a Greek Restaurant last week having a Gyro - when I asked for a beer, I didn't bother asking for a specific brand as there was only one kind of beer looking bottle in the beverage case.
Imagine my surprise when I saw I was drinking an Efes - product of Turkey.
Suffice to say that the beer and the food got along great.

I was in Baghdad back in 1983. I was surprised to find that the Ephesus beer was quite good, and brewed in Turkey. I don't remember any Iraqi beer, but there was also plenty of European beers to be had in the hotels there.

You should try an Emu Lager. It is made from sheep dip.

I do like the commercials for Fosters, Australian for Beer!

I thought Turkey is a Muslim countryTurkey has a securlar government, and religious taboos don't translate into civil law. Alcohol is served everywhere in Turkey, and is widely consumed by the locals as well as by foreigners.

I have yet to try an Aussie beer that has prompted me to order another. Just a beer snob in the great NW USA, I guess.
