Brian Wilson has issued a desperate plea for any information on the whereabouts of Markus Sandlund, a cellist from the Stockholm Strings & Horns who played on his recently released recreation of the lost Beach Boys album "SMiLE." Sandlund was vacationing in Thailand when the area was battered by a tsunami following a Dec. 26 earthquake in the Indian Ocean and has not been heard from since.
"I have been devastated since I heard the news that Markus is missing in Thailand," Wilson says in a statement. "We have sent an agent to see what we can find out, but as of today (Jan. 4) we have been unable to locate Marcus in the area. If there is anyone out there who might know Markus' whereabouts please contact info@brianwilson.com.

Prayers on the way!
Prayers on the way.
Yup, that was a fun tune -- good to hear Brian can still do a car song now and then!
Ok,ok! I'm going out to buy it tomorrow! ;-)
Best album of the new millennium!
SMiLE ping
You should have heard rabid-dog Chris Matthews tonight. The man is a disgrace to the human race. His vitriolic anti-Americanism should not be tolerated on the airwaves.
Frank Gaffney, to his great credit, put the punk in his place.
No thanks.
Prayers.
If you ever get the chance to see him, do! We've seen him twice: Pet Sounds Live and Smile. Both were stellar.
I join in prayer for Marcus and all those who love him!
I can't even imagine being in a situation where there is absolutely no communication with the rest of the world. At the worst of our four hurricanes last summer we still had cell phone access for the most part and most of the broadcast stations stayed on the air. Imagine being on one of those remote islands knowing that your family has no idea if you're dead or alive. It's probably as rough on the ones that are out of touch as it is the ones who don't know the status of a friend or loved one. I can't say enough nice things about the efforts that the US is making over there to bring relief to those people. It sure must be nice for the crews involved to finally deal with people who appreciate what's being done for them. There's some GREAT footage of the helicopters delivering supplies!
You can't win. The UN says a carrier group isn't enough. The Ayn Rand foundation says a government wheelbarrow is too much.
I know what you mean ... I'm in Sarasota, and I could keep in contact with my family through all the storms.
JellyJam, My prayers go up for Markus Sandlund. May God keep him safe. Lord, please provide safety to Markus and all who are unaccounted for. You know where they are, as you see all! Please help those who are searching to find those they are searching for. Please give comfort and peace to the families of the missing. Surround them all with your love. In Jesus' precious name. Amen
Adding my voice to Trussell's prayer. Amen
Amen!
God bless you and everyone who are sending prayers ... and, Lord, please give the families and friends of the missing an abundance of strength in these trying times.
