Just out of curiosity..if someone tries to hurt my dog,I can't shoot him unless " He was coming at me, my dog was trying to protect me, he tried to get my dog so he could get me next...so I shot him." Would that work ?

Would that work ? Check your state's deadly force statutes... In Texas, your dog is your property.....

My feelings regarding shooting someone in/near my house perpetrating a crime: I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!
