Agreed... Lots of phenomenon out there that indicated we were not the first to "know" things that most of us don't know today. Stonehenge, for another example.

No,it isn't an "URBAN LEGEND". If it is,then why do some people have ESP and other abilities that most people don't? And what about the appendix, that now useless bit, that obviously used to be there to do something?

I have color, taste, and smell memory. Do you? Most people don't.:-)

That article on Snopes was one person's opinion. It didn't prove anything.

She becomes very "needy" - cries and insists on being held - very unusual behavior for her.

The iguana used to deperately try to get out of his cage - to the point of bloodying his nose.

It took me awhile to figure out what was triggering the behavior of both of them - about a year in fact, then a friend pointed it out.

I understand that dogs and horses also sense earthquakes although none of mine appear to.

Nice rationalization.

But that was NOT their EXPERIENCE.

They reported that they

SAW

AND

HEARD

it evidently days ahead of time.

There are at least a couple of plausible spiritual answers to this--that they were communicated with from outside of time.

There are some other possible explanations.

But I prefer to take people at their word. I at least respect their own report of their own experience.

How would you feel after a wonderful night in bed with your very special spouse. And the next day you were rapturizing about it to your best friend. And your best friend was saying things like . . .

Oh, no, it wasn't like that, at all. You just THOUGHT you were doing that and you just THOUGHT that was your spouse's response. Actually, you were just dreaming about some B grade movie and imagined that it was you and your spouse. It wasn't you and your spouse at all and it wasn't near that wonderful at all.

I'm sure you'd be impressed that your friend knew more about your wonderful time in the sack than you did.

We have a tendency to underestimate the technology or the scientific understanding held by ancient peoples.

Perhaps this reinforces my contention that the greatest crimes ever perpetuated on humanity were the various successive burnings of the library at Alexandria. I think it would amaze us today to find out what things the people of those days already knew.

I would contend that there were ancient peoples that lived for many years just the merest fraction away from discoveries that would have started technological innovations centuries before they were realized. I happen to think that much of this collected knowledge was at Alexandria, and the loss of it was a setback on the order of thousands of years of re-discovery of things already known.

I'm 100% out to lunch on this remote viewing thing.

But Killjoy, the urban legend link to the "humans only use a small part of their brains" wrong.

Actually the opposite is probably more accurate. A major percentage of the world's population still resides along rivers, canals, ports, and surf.

The 'Remote Viewing' topic and those associated with it such as Dames are also closely associated with very direct occultic behaviors. (His name and associates is about as close to being directly linked with 'devil worship' within DOD/Intel as I've observed.)

There is a lunatic fringe associated with that language, more technically inclined than, say, dowsers or hypnotists, but just as adament in its success.

I would tend to be gracious as classify it as a 'spiritual' phenomenon, however, IMHO there is another question as to whether the spirits involved are malevolently deceiving or sent by God.

Oh come on...try.You started this, now don't chicken out.

Answer my questions!

1) Can YOU match a color, without a sample on hand?

2) Can you taste something,I mean REALLY taste it,without that thing in your mouth or even in the room, just by thinking of it?

3) Can you smell something, just because you want to,without that smell being present?

Is there or is there not such a thing as ESP and if there is,then WHY do only some people have the ability?

And I didn't say we only use 10% of our brains,I said not ALL of it.

I'm not Gnostic, but some Gnostics might assert part of the reason you don't observe paranormal stuff is exactly because you don't believe in it.

I submit that it is your philosophical and cultural BIAS plain and simple

which causes you to refuse to believe this report.

There were multiple sources of tribal people saying the same thing. They noted as a group that they left for the hills days earlier.

What's wrong in believing people?

I have no evidence--not a shred of evidence that they were lying.
