I've been away from FR for a bit. What's a "getty image"?
A day or two after first hearing about the tsunami, the thought popped into my head that maybe it was some kind of justice meted against that part of the world for harboring so many terrorists...
On the weekend of August 2-3, 2003, five separate churches in the southern district of Galle, Sri Lanka were attacked by mobs led by Buddhist monks. In Rathgama, ten monks attacked the Methodist Church, burning the church pews and benches and beating two church workers. On the same day, the pastor of the Assembly of God church in Thanamalwila was assaulted by a group of Buddhist monks. Pastor Ranjith of the Assembly of God church in Lunugamwhehra was also attacked by a mob led by ten Buddhist priests that afternoon. His sister who tried to protect him was also beaten. That same weekend, homes of Christians in Ganemulla were vandalized and a mob led by Buddhist monks attacked the Calvary Church in Hikkaduwa.
This report was one weekend, there are many many reports like it. Just because they are Buddists, does not mean they are not on a Jihad. Other notes from Sri Lanka:

I guess Killjoy missed the story today about the 12 years old Sweden boy who survived the tsunami only to be kidnapped from a Thailand hospital.
Getty, like Corbis (and the famous Kerry/Fonda photo) licenses images and does not like FR to link to the images (although Corbis had no problems with Snopes using the images for free ON THEIR OWN SERVER, including the hoaxed composite image which in the absence of a court order HAS no license as it is an "illegitimate creation" by another artist; Corbis' legal team seemed satisfied with just the inclusion of copyright data).
The media does not like FR. We have to play along even though we see our fair use rights trampled.

Phuket, as well as the rest of Thailand, is a tourist destination for Western pedophiles and pederasts? The cornerstone of Thailand's sex tourism business is the thousands of girls and boys forced to perform sex acts on the wealthy men who, uh, come to Phuket to be serviced.
