Quotes: (to the Congressmen-elect) "I look forward to your energy and your ideas. I'm ready to work with you. And there's no doubt in my mind we can accomplish big things for our country."
"We want the Indian government, the Indian people to know that we'll help in any way we can. I've asked President Clinton and President Bush to lead an effort to raise private contributions to go to the families of those who have suffered, and to help provide food, medicine, water, shelter, whatever the Indian government thinks is necessary."
At the Indonesian embassy: "It's our honor to come today to pay our respects for those in Indonesia who suffered under this tremendous disaster. I appreciate the former Presidents joining me. I'm proud Laura is here, too, as we sign the condolence book."

Addressing a reception for new members of Congress and their spouses in the East Room

Thanks for the DOSE Gretchen. I've MISSED it!
There's a thread with a pic of Dan Rather in a FLIGHTSUIT! LOL!
I won't post it, but I'll link it if anyone wants a good, disgusting laugh. :o)
Good afternoon and Happy New Year.
Just in time for under 10?
Hello! Top 10?
Hi GretchenM...
I wonder if I could trouble the people on this thread for something.
I watched The Gathering Storm last night, and I was reminded again at how much W reminds me of Churchill (except he is much, much, nicer...W, that is.)
Anyway, I remember seeing a VERY nice pic of him in a long, black coat, out of doors. If anyone has that, and it is not too much trouble, would you post it for me. I promise I will save it this time! Thank you so much.
Hello Gretchen. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for taking the time to post the thread. Today's will be especially juicy. :)
Ping!
Thanks again for the Dose, Gretchen.
Congreats on the cable. After your initial trial period is over, I suggest you ask your company for the lowest possible monthly fee they have. You will then hear about packages they haven't mentioned before.
A friend of mind did that - and has a direct-to-TV hookup, without the "box" and she pays less than half what I pay, and gets FNC and some other cable shows she really wanted to keep - HGTV, Food Network, etc. So, try asking and see if they have "minimum" plans that will enable you to keep your cable. Just a thought......
