Well, then I can imagine we will all be frustrated. What compounds that frustrations is the next 5 thread today that announce "yet more evidence" found of fraud, yet no discussion of what action is being taken.

I realize this forum is just the messenger--but days and days of similar threads without any news of concrete action, plans, or court dates is like beating your head against a concrete wall.

I hear you ... the Washington State Message Board has lots more behind-the-scenes info. The sense I have is the state (and national) GOP is working every angle but due to the weird processes associated with the way this state counts and certifies votes, allows county election boards and state courts to change vote-counting procedures, etc., the GOP knows it has to have ALL its ducks lined up before doing anything.

Also, we are in untrod territory here. Nothing like this has been seen in our state politics. There is more than one option open to Rossi and he and the GOP have been smart to wait to see what the dems are doing before he acts. It's dominoes. If he strikes too quickly without enough information, he pulls a domino out of the line that could stop the collapse of the dem world of corrupt politics out here.

For example: he could ask Chris G. for a revote (tried that unsuccessfully, to no one's surprise); he can contest the election results but that couldn't occur till the SoS certified the fraudulent results; he can ask the legislature to determine the outcome (bad idea with a dem-controlled legislature); he can fight some or many aspects of this in court; he can ask for a revote; he can be at the head of a citizen initiative petition to the legislature to force a revote. Lots of legal research is being done; some of these things have to go in a chronology, and it wasn't clear at the outset what the state Constitution means exactly in regard to this.

There is also public opinion to consider. What good is pushing for a revote if there is solid evidence that 78 percent of the electorate don't want it? If waiting helps solidify public opinion against Gregoire, which is what is happening, then so much the better. Rossi has a certain number of days to contest the election. Those days are still ticking away and the GOP is using them to gather evidence of fraud or other vote irregularities.

I do know that Rossi and the GOP leaders are not sitting on their thumbs. They're gathering information and taking action as the path becomes a little less foggy. So I keep telling myself to be patient.

In the end, when / if Rossi gets a revote or other remedy to this fraud, he is going to be one very exceptional governor.
