It was last reported that there were 3,539 more ballots counted in King County than voters who cast them. The discrepancy is actually much larger.
The 3,539 is only the net. This comes from having roughly 1,500 more voters than counted ballots in some precincts, and about 5,000 more ballots than known voters in other precincts.
[This picks up where I left off in the post below about Precinct 3301. I can find only 41 precinct changes among counted voters in the Dec. 29 file since the Nov. 1 file and these appear to be provisional voters who corrected their precincts at the polls. Conclusion: in certain precincts there are about 1,500 more known voters who cast ballots that were accepted than there are ballots that were counted in the manual recount].
Bob Williams of the Evergreen Freedom Foundation brought to my attention several sections of the WAC that govern the canvassing boards. As I read the WACs, the King County canvassing board should not have certified its election without getting the count of voters to reconcile with the count of ballots, and that is something that they obviously have not done.
Among these: WAC 434-262-040
Verification of auditor's abstract of votes. The county canvassing board shall examine the auditor's abstract of votes and shall verify that all of the individual precinct and absentee ballot totals have been included in the abstract and that the subtotals and county-wide totals for registered voters and votes cast are an accurate reflection of the sum of those individual precinct and absentee ballot totals. I suspect that the canvassing board simply checked the total number of registered voters on the rolls and not the number of voters who cast ballots. But that would be terribly lame if that's all they think they're required to do.
In any case, I would be very surprised if King County will be able to account for both 1,500 ballotless voters and 5,000 voterless ballots. The few explanations that have been offered, confidential voters and military voters, only account for about 100 and at most 200 voterless ballots respectively.

Does it even matter any more? It seems we could find proof beyond any conceivable doubt, video tapes, figerprints, dna, confessions, and so on but nothing will matter to change the fraud that was perpetrated.

For the press and Democrats, this is now much bigger than the local governor's race. Thanks to the efforts of Stefan Sharkansky the curtain is partially drawn back and the machinery of ballot box stuffing is being revealed for all who care to see to see. If the Republicans prevail here, if even the perception of vote rigging sinks in, it invalidates the very thin reed on which they hang their claims to deserve victory in Florida in 2000.
Wrong, throw out the last (invalid) recount and accept the original count and recount.
With all due respect, SkyPilot, this is much bigger than what you need or want to see on FR. It's very important to those of us who live in Washington. Lord knows we've read plenty of threads about New York and New Jersey.
With King County still struggling to explain why it can’t match up its certified ballots with voters, the state Republican Party today discovered that there are a handful of other counties whose numbers also don’t match.
King County’s list of voters who voted in the 2004 General Election is 3,539 names short of the number of ballots it certified. Republicans want to know why there is such a huge discrepancy, and they also want observers to be able to watch as the county attempts to reconcile its numbers.
There are other counties who also haven’t matched up their numbers: Snohomish County has 1,738 fewer voters than certified votes; Pierce 1,640; Clark 1,018; and Kitsap 484.
State GOP chairman Chris Vance called the discrepancies “very troubling” and said he wants answers sooner rather than later.
“This is a very serious issue, especially in an election this close,” said Vance. “There is no way anyone can call this election valid until every single vote, and voter, is accounted for.
“I find it amazing that King County and the other counties were able to certify their election results at all when they can’t match voters to ballots. We need answers as soon as possible, and we also want observers in all these counties so we know what’s going on.”

It seems clear to me that Re-Vote has the PR momentum. It is essential that it not be lost. I'd advise all Washington FReepers to make as much of a racket as possible.

The King County "Elections Process" continues to unravel.
At work today, two of my colleagues were saying how they "didn't like either candidate now" - I guess to show that they were superior, bi-partisan, and so fed up with the election spectacle.
Why be fed up? Why GIVE up? NOW is the time to fight! How very weak we have become at standing up to anything. The very thought that energy may be expended for more than two weeks leaves "us" mentally exhausted. What a poor contrast to our Founders - the original Freedom Fighters. And as Barry Goldwater said; "Moderation in the defense of liberty is no virtue."

Well, there is a Third Way: politicians on both sides blather until we're bored, screw around in well-catered conferences, then boof the whole thing and do absolutely nothing about it, preferring to scratch each other's back, get reelected and preserve the status quo.
Sorta like "fixing" the Socialist Security scam or "downsizing" government and "restoring freedoms".
I know this tune all too well. Sturm und Drang, followed by silence and yawns.
The problem is, there's not any penalty for vote fraud. I mean, there are penalties, but A) they're not generally enforced, and B) they aren't severe enough. Vote fraud undermines democracy, and should be a capital crime. Seriously. Hangin's too good for the b*st*rds.

The many threads about it are helping document the fraud and formulate plans, moving people toward a revote (or some other measure/s that could disenfranchise the dead voters) and let us get a fair election. If it frustrates you, imagine how we feel it, here in Fraud Central.
As the sages have said, democracy is a messy business. I would add, this is because it's vulnerable to the hands of corrupt people attracted to power who must be counterbalanced by people who serve the greater good (even if, in some cases [not this one] it means laying down power in deference to being honest).

Don't be so impressed, I cheated. I knew Morse Code for my First Class Boy Scout test 40 years ago and haven't used it since. I just googled "Morse Code" and wrote a quick script to code/decode "acsii morse", i.e. stuff like ".- -... -.-." <=> "ABC". Just make sure you decode anything before you post and never send faster than you can receive.
