Some folks are just plain rude.
I remember once when I was a kid and we went out to eat, some couple came in and sat NEXT to us and talked to each other the whole time about how awful it was to have kids, and how terrible it was to have soooo many, and on and on. At that point there were only six of us and we were behaving.
Actually we were having a hard time not laughing.

It is funny to watch, sometimes, isn't it? In a way, I feel bad for people who think that all children are is a messy, annoying inconvenience. They're missing the bigger picture.

And before someone flames me, please note that I didn't apply that to childless people. There are plenty of people who have had kids of their own who think that.
