Spong is a perfect example of why Islam is gaining converts and Episcopalianism, Prebyterianism and Methodism are not.

He's also a good example of why Protestants are voting with their feet and becoming Pentacostals, Evangelicals, Southern Baptists, etc.

In a few years the Episcopalian, Prebyterian and Methodist churches will sink into irrelevance.

Spong is Wrong.
You either believe in the Truth or you don't.

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." Blind leaders of the blind, allies of libs and MSM. They are "ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth". 2 Tim. 3:7

Sprong is right: Christianity must either change or die. It changed, and is now stronger than ever; my own church can't contain the thousands clamoring to hear the Word preached. Sprong's own Episcopal Church, which I abandoned, is stuck in the old ways, did not change, and is dying. The only trouble is that Sprong didn't anticipate the way God would lead His children to change. We are drawn closer to Him rather than taking up some vague left-wing pseudo-religion that's really more about having Bloody Marys after the sermon than it is about Christ's redemptive victory.

I wonder if Spong's life verse is Psalm 14:1, or maybe Romans 1:18-25?

{{{"And I’m not really interested in a God who works out salvation by killing the Son of God."}}}

Another false teacher in the "ME" generation! He has set up his own god, one to his liking. Pray that anyone who hears Mr. Sponge's words will know they are false and that this man is an idolater.

I do believe that Spong's spring is sprung.

Spong is a total heretic.

Anyone with knowledge of his statements over the years would would be hard pressed to consider this man a Christian at all.
