>> Her point was that Bush won his re-election with the narrowest margin in history.
That is a deceitful 'point' used frequently by leftists to try to trick the public into believing that the President doesn't have a mandate. Of course, the lefties always considered Clinton to have a mandate, even though he got less than 50% of the votes in both elections, and most likely would have lost the first time if not for the loudmouth Perot.
It's all a matter of perspective. If you're a moderate, you're going to think everyone should be moderate. In my perspective, I think there is a greater problem with the Democrats being too off center. Okay, I've got to hand it to them that can put up a moderate front when they need to --but, come on, they gave Michael Moore a seat of honor at the DNC! Moore is like the prophet of the most radical socialist groups in America.
Good morning.....

If only...If only...
Actually, the Robert Taft to whom I've referred, was the son of President William Howard Taft.
The current governor of Ohio, Robert (Bob) Taft, is the great granson of President William Howard Taft.
What would you include in your list? Spending hundreds of billions of dollars in "welfare" for another nation? Legalizing his Mexican cousins? Adding a precription benefit to medicare? Wimping out on social security and tax reform? I hear a lot of talk that I dont ever expect to materialize under Bush. He is too much of a liberal to push a conservative agenda.
Clinton got 43.0% in 1992 and 49.2% in 1996. Perot ran both times.
