Our pets are so smart and so devoted. When we had an earthquake in San Marino Calif in the late 1980s our cat went outside and refused to come in all day. After all the aftershocks stopped hitting, she came back inside. I think we should somehow tune in to animal ESP.

Right - when we would sleep on the floor in No Cal, my Jerry Bear would stand up and bark about 5 seconds before a quake (if it was big enough to feel - he didn't do it EVERY time the floor shook a little). I swear he heard them coming.

I miss CA sometimes, but not wondering if it was THE BIG ONE every time the floor shook.
