Last night on the Terrry Anderson show a woman from Arizona who had something to do with Prop.200 said that Gov. Napalitano (sp??) had issued a press release for the implementation of 200.
It concerns public employees identifying illegals. They are going to accept "sworn testimony" OR actual ID. In other words, if the illegal swears he's a citizen, he'll be approved. The gov said this is being done because "older" citizens don't have ID.
Has she just made an end run around the law?
He gets foreign aid, and receives receipts from his citizenry who send 1/2 of their earnings home to help family members left behind.
We need to stop this insanity. Mr. Fox, take your people home.
How old do you have to be, to be unable, to get a copy of your birth certificate?
Yes, it's that "OR by attesting" that is the problem. In other words all they have to say when asked if they are a citizen is "Si" and not show any proof.
It appears the good governor is making excuses, poor ones at that.
You know, we can't expect the first law to be the most all encompassing or the most strict. Other states will (hopefully) build and fine tune on this as we go along.
A denial of services plan will always have emergency services allowed, and should. But that doesn't mean we should provide emergency medical services, or any other kind, without notifying appropriate law enforcement. Especially given the fact most Illegals use the ER as their family doctor for every common ailment.
Yeah right...like there is a snowball's chance Bush would seal our southern border.
Is it me or is there something really strange about Mexico telling its citizens to leave?
What made me nervous was how chummy Bush/Fox were just before the towers got hit. I think Fox was ready for
a joint-Presidency. I wouldn't have been surprised to see
a moving van unloading his office furniture into the White House. All of his eggs were in one basket. Just about EVERYTHING he was going to do rested on his relationship with the Bush Admin. It isn't over between Bush/Fox. Fox is Mexico's President until 2006.
For the record, I like Bush and voted for him twice. I think he has been wonderful for this country but I don't understand why he doesn't see the long term effects of his guest worker (amnesty) plan. He doesn't see the hurt Americans, the closed hospitals, the added taxes, the problems in public schools and colleges (how can it be okay for illegal immigrants to pay in state tuition when Americans from another state pays out of state tuitions), the insanity of the anchor baby law, the increase in gangs etc.etc.etc.
Tancredo has 4 years now to get name-recognition. I do hope he runs in 2008.
If the people were considered valuable, there would be a Berlin Wall around Mexico!
Of course the people do become valuable when they are sending American Dollars home to Mexico, so I'm surprised there isn't discount travel tickets offered by the government to the Mexico/US border.
http://www.usapac.us/ is another good website for immigration news.
Had he done so, the Panama Canal would be in Texas....
"Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean everyone isn't against me".
Thats cute. If you like the present tax code we have, and you think it is good for American business...maybe you are Mr Block (of H&R fame) or some lobbyist type I got to meet years ago hanging out at some fancy watering holes around the beltway, and down at Annapolis.
Whooops...theres goes that paranoia agin'!
Check out Andy Grove (retired CEO of Intel). He wrote a book on 'paranoia'. Its all about survival in a business world where other people do not care about your personal interests, or the interests of your company.
Reality is tough mon. After all, John Edwards didnt REALLY 'channel' that poor child into a multimillion dollar settlement.
Morphing my arguments into Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory is 'interesting' though.
what the mexican government does in their country is none of our governments business if they choose to write a comic book to help assist their citizens lead a better life then they shall do so.
How to be an illegal: Mexico government publishes guide to assist border crossers
mexican government - doing the jobs president bush doesn’t want to get caught doing.......
