Spinsteroood is quite fashionable but to be married one must drop many of the traits they find most desirable.
A generation of spinsters will prove to be a handicap but is natures way of limiting human intelligence.
A strong Christian upbringing (the real deal) trumps the evil influence of the MSM. I would bet the farm that devout religious folk are more fertile.

And when they are 50 they will bore you to howling with tales of their cats. Unless they do the desperate-Hail-Mary-first-kid-at-45 thing, and then are puzzled when the poor baby has two heads and flippers.

Intelligent women who don't marry are often off-putting with their egos and self-centeredness. Plus the womens lib movement has instilled a lot of younger women with poisonous attitudes.
What chapter are you in? One meeting was enough for me. Something about a group of people with higher than average IQs that breeds quirky, antisocial behavior.

who do not wish to interrupt their carêrs or abstain from trivial fun-sex stuff.

I can't speak for all fields, but I deal with plenty of the "over-educated" every day as I'm in a PhD program in the humanities on the East Coast. One observation is that people in this demographic tend to be really neurotic and have alot of "issues." They also tend to ascribe to liberal morality which is not favorable towards marriage. Combine these two and you have alot of smart women and smart men who will probably never have a successful relationship in their life, much less a marriage. If these are the "brainy" women the article was talking about, then it's no wonder few will marry. Most don't want to marry, don't want kids, and even if they did are too neurotic and self-obsessed to make a good partner. Really I see this as no tragedy, since they will not breed and make more neurotic liberals.
Oh, but Mr. Shaw, I think it is far more likely to last a lifetime if the relationship stays for a while in the friendship category first, then to deepen into the true, enduring and loving phase necessary for two people to remain happily together forever after. (A little frenzied passion now and then doesn't hurt).

There's all kinds of attributes available in women today. Intelligent women who also wear shirts that don't fit. It just depends upon what you're looking for or at.
