Lysistrata
Night before last was the world wide Lysistrata event--over 700 performances of the play organized as benefits for peace organizations. Here in the Twin Cities, there were about 15 performances after which everyone gathered at a variety show that benefited moveon.org. MoveOn is the group that, more effectively than any other, has used the internet to galvanize the resistance to war in this country. Check them out if you don't know them already.

Written by Greek dramatist, Aristophanes (c. 447-c. 385 b.c.e.), Lysistrata tells the story of a woman who organizes a stand against war, getting women on both sides of a conflict to withhold sex from their husbands until the men agree to resolve conflicts through peaceful diplomacy rather than violence. "Check them out if you don't know them already"

Don't worry .. I already know who and what they are - and where their funding comes from. It's straight out of the Marxist camps .. or the pit of hell .. whichever you prefer.
