I feel sorry for you.

Hey, I'm tough. :-) Seriously though, in that time it was so uncommon that it was a depressing situation for me. Back then you didn't talk about stuff like that and I had to deal with it alone. I didn't tell anybody for a while and even agreed to a no-fault divorce in order to keep the facts hidden. My mother-in-law blamed me. I finally realized that it wasn't my fault and went on with my life, raised my daughter and remarried. I think I'm a stronger person for it. It was quite a shock for a sheltered kid like I was. :-) I didn't let it ruin my life. I'm in control of my life and nobody can ruin it but me.

It is that first hand experience that makes me feel the way I do.
