"Kill Bill Vol. 2" Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino; starring Uma Thurman, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah and Michael Madsen
The conclusion to "Kill Bill Vol. 1" -- like the first film, starring the dynamic Uma Thurman as the Bride and the deadpan David Carradine as her former lover and arch-nemesis Bill -- is a marvelous bloodbath full of amazing action and surprising plot twists. The first film was about revenge, and believe it or not, this second movie is about love -- albeit a warped, Tarantino type of love. Uma Thurman is nothing short of magnificent. Quentin Tarantino has made a rip-roaring and extremely enjoyable follow-up to his original movie.
"Kinsey" Directed by Bill Condon; starring Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Chris O'Donnell, Peter Sarsgaard, Timothy Hutton, John Lithgow, Tim Curry and Oliver Platt
This brilliant film is a brutally honest, but nonjudgmental, look at a man who changed forever the way the American public viewed sex. Liam Neeson delivers a stunning performance in the title role, and Laura Linney is equally amazing as his wife Clara. But it's Peter Sarsgaard who steals the show, playing the bisexual researcher Clyde Martin, who had affairs with both Kinsey and his wife. Kinsey's findings are still at the center of a raging debate in today's society over what is moral or immoral regarding s-e-x, and "Kinsey" is well worth both your time and your money.

They totally ignore the top grossing movies like The Passion and Shrek 2 to praise Kinsey and Kill Bill2?
These people are indeed idiots
That's why I don't spend a nickel on movies. Why subsidize this tripe? Any of it.
The Passion and Shrek 2 should have been on there. But Kill Bill 1&2 were awesome!
My top Three are...
1) Shrek 2
2) The Passion
3) Kill Bill 2
in exactly that order...
but I havent gotten to see what else there is out there as I have been in Iraq for the entire year almost.....
Amen! I sometimes let the wife drag me to a movie, but I had been in a movie theatre about five times in 30 years up to that point.
Damn. Crap!
Putting the "F" back in Freedom!
Were there even ten movies worth seeing in 2004?
Apart from The Passion, the year demonstrated a total lack of solid cinematic offerings from Hollywoodland.
I have not seen Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby yet, but may have to include among the best.
The Aviator sounds like another humiliating experience for Scorsese. He needs to get over (and fast) using DiCaprio and thus abusing his fans.
I loved Return of the king, but sadly I missed Team America World Police.
I didn't see a single one of those movies. I enjoyed Spiderman2, The Passion, and Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow. Thats about all I saw in theatres this year.
I should say though that I really do want to see The Aviator. I generally like Scorsese.
Creativity is dead in Hollywood.
I didnt recognize over half the list. I dont think they even showed at the local theatre here in Middleofnowhereville.
Dodgeball
Supersize me
My top 3
Spiderman 2
The Incredibles
Team America World Police
