I posted a thread 2 days ago about a group of scientists in INdia that foretold the earthquake pretty accurately- if their claims are true. It was tied to the full moon, and the particularly strong tidal forces this month.
The Iranian earthquake also happened on the 26th last year.

I've also read about this too...there is probably something truthful about how the moon and tide cause changes and effect the way the environment responds.
I read the Moscow papers yesterday and according to one of their seismologists (per his calculations) he believes the next big earthquake is going to occur in South America.
