No wonder Rossi called for a revote yesterday.

Rossi needs to stop and think this one out before he steps in a big pile of career ending sour grapes. This election is over and no matter how outraged we all are, the fact is that Gregiore has the upper hand. She should be allowed to take office and we all should stop acting like a bunch of post-Florida 2000 Democrats or we run the risk of snatching victory from defeat.

Gregiore's term at governor will never be legitimate in the eyes of the average voter and she will be run out of office in 4 years.

If Rossi and the rest of us get down in the mud with the D's we will surrender any integrity we now have.

It's MacArthur time. "I shall return."

For me...I'll be happy to risk the possibility of stepping into sour grapes for the certainty of standing up to and exposing outright Tammany Hall style fraud -- perpetuated by an entrenched power structure that is now working on its second full generation in total power.

Better to fight than disspiriting and depressing your Pubbie voters that are feeling their oats for maybe the first time ever in this state. Telling the Pubbie voters that you will pack it in at the first hint of real, nasty fight is no way to get them to ever believe that they can beat the RATS -- who will not quail at a fight no matter how nasty it becomes.

We've had more than enough of the Sam Reed mentality in this state -- and it's gotten the Pubbies nowhere.

Dude, you are going to get ripped for that comment. I've been getting savaged on another thread for simply opposing a revote.

In Florida there was a backlash b/c Dems were whining about not being allowed to promulgate fraud. Washington is a bit different.

Rossi should take lesson on how to act from John Thune. Contest the election, but do it in a classy way, not by demanding a re-vote - that would set a terrible precedent.

Right now Rossi is in a fantastic position and the mood is ripe for him to upset Maria Cantwell in '06. He doesn't want to do too much that would give off an appearance of sour grapes.
