The New York Times sets the record straight today (December 30, 2004) on the sorry state of US foreign aid in its lead editorial, Are We Stingy? Yes.
About as long as you.
It was a disgusting rehash of a NYT Editorial; he agreed with the premise of the editorial.
His "comments" basically agreed with the editorial. Very much so uninformed, malformed opinion. He was given some time to respond to pings.
If I were to blatantly agree with a NYT editorial there must be something seriously wrong with the NYsLIMES.
If he inadvertantly posted from somewhere else - he had a chance to respond.
His comments upset me. I may have over reacted verbally.
I would not vouch for his post.
So cfhBAMA, how much have YOU contributed, and to which fund? Hmmmmm?
There were no comments of his own posted, I don't think. I think there was a link to another site. It doesn't make any difference if someone compromised his account, though, whether comments were made or not.
er, that should have been Google cache, not "catch"...good grief, they aren't even pronounced the same.
More than you think you know. :-)
There are about, say, 40 to 60 or so posters that I know for sure aren't trolls. I put stock in what they say. And there's almost as many posters that I know for sure ARE trolls. I like to needle them occasionally just to let them know they've been noticed. The rest of FR I take with a grain of salt.
After the UN BS and "other" stories , I have to agree with you.
See Post 40. I took a look at the site he took the verbiage from and there were no comments the same as his on the site.
Let's try this one more time:
If the account was compromised, then they weren't "his" comments. So how is your argument a refutation of that theory?
Obama, IS THA YOU?
I saw a guy "come out" on an environmental thread that had been posting like a true-blue conservative for nearly a year and a half.
I promise you, you would have never taken him for a troll if you looked at his posting history...until he lost it completely on that thread.
I was surprised that he was a troll, but I wasn't surprised at the subject matter which finally caused him to blow his cover -- those leftists are card-carrying members of the 1st EnvironMENTAList Fundamentalist Church, and they can't handle any blasphemy of their Goddess, Gaia quietly. :-)
Hehe I know that needled feeling. When I first came around back in September every time I posted something that was a bit against the grain I would get some very inquisitive replies. When you hang in there and discuss your positions you prove yourself. The Trolls and impersonators tend to post and run.
Oh WOW, that is just too cool how you do that. And so fast too! I'm truly amazed!!! Ok it's late and that was the highlight of my whole day. OOPS, it's a new day already. Well, that tops the new day too.
Someone had to put the comment in - he did not lift it wholesale from another site like the other 3 tonite. He added comment. Violent agreement here, if his posting history is such.
As hard as it is to me to post things I don't believe in, I don't see how those Trolls do it. I know I can't bring myself to do it.
If his account was COMPROMISED someone else was using his account, therefore, in such a case, those comments would not have been made by him. Why is that so difficult to understand? I don't know for certain that's what happened, but if that were the case, they weren't his comments.
How is that evidence his account was not compromised? "How can you say someone else was using his account -- look at what he posted!" That's a ridiculous argument.
Examples of how this is uncharacteristic:

There are numerous other examples over the months of his posting you can find on a google search, including his cached old http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:2ZcIOKAdB4YJ:209.157.64.200/~cfhbama/+cfhBAMA&hl=en profile page.
