I don't know either. In fact, I've never read a reasonable definition of a "neocon." I'm a proud, loud, conservative, but I doubt I'm a neocon (whatever that is).
Is "neocon" like "metrosexual?"
As far as I can tell, it's another generic pejorative label used by the left, and defined as any somewhat right-of-center person we don't like.
Something like putting a big banner in their front yard to proudly proclaim that they do not believe in citizens having firearms, and the occupants of this property do not have any weapons, and also support the government taking all firearms out of the hands of civilians....
Some wag joked that "neocon" is a combination of two words: "Con," meaning "conservative," and "neo-," meaning "Jewish." Origninally used to refer to leftists (many of whom were Jewish) who came over to conservatism, these days it's used by the Buchananites and the Looney Left to refer to an alleged cabal within the government who subvert US foreign policy to support Israel's interests. In short, it's a codeword to express the old dual-loyalty libel.
