Is that sarcasm?
This is crap. FDR was dying and could barely get around. He should never have run a 4th time but his massive ego demanded it. He never passed one up during the depression.
... he's a Philadelphia lawyer and he's got a brilliant idea ....
He is a lawyer - he is a traitorous bastard.
Ken: And look what you've done to mother! She's worn out with meeting film stars, attending premieres and giving gala luncheons...
Dad: There's nothing wrong wi' gala luncheons, lad! I've had more gala luncheons than you've had hot dinners!
Aaaaaaagh! (clutches hands and sinks to knees)
Someone should pass on to this guy that if the trial lawyers who fleeced tobacoo companies and Americans for tobacco settlements would just ante-up 10% of the takings of their evil tobacco money, it would give over $1billion dollars to the tsunami survivors.

DUers have been trying to push this since the court cases in Ohio fizzled due to incompetence.
It's to be expected. Sour grapes and all.
Matt, I have two suggestions.
1. Lead the way! You're a big city lawyer which means, you probably have a lot of money. Open up your pocketbook moneybags!
2. If you follow suggestion one, then you can say you're doing your part and have every right to get on others backs about it. If you don't do the first suggestion, then shut the hell up.
Poor dimwitted Ronnie evidently isn't aware that every two-bit lefty coming down the pike has "come up with" this "brilliant idea". It's called "talking points".
Before the tsunami, these mean-spirited libs were invoking a "time of war" to tone down if not outright cancel the festivities.
Thanks. Sorry. I've forgotten. You agree with me or not?
ABSOLUTELY. THAT I OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORT EVEN MUCH, MUCH, MORE!!! LOL.
AND the moneies that go to union thugs as corruption payoffs.
I could think of other chunks . . .
Was that why? Or was it because he was confined to his bed and didnt want the world to know that Eleanor was running the show, it being a time of war and all.
100% pure
I was certain - just thought I should clarify. You never know anymore.
I will address this loser, and all of the other losers, (like Leaky Leahy--to whom VPOTUS rightly told to go do something with/to himself), with the following proposals:
1. Since these individuals, liberals that they are, want to tell other people how to spend their money (ala Leaky's statement that "The United States spends $35million before breakfast in Iraq"), I propose that the United States match, dollar for dollar, the contributions (to the relief effort) of the following Leftists---errrr, persons:
--This geek Jacoby
--Leaky Leahy
--John...errrr.Teresa Heinz Kerry
--John Edwards
--Jimmah Cahtah
--Walter Mondale
--Ted (hiccup) Kennedy
--Hillary (I'm not running for POTUS) Clinton
--Terry McAwful
--Paul Be (no galas, right????)
--Lawrence "Creepy Liar" O'Donnell
--Keith O-for-mann
--Chris Matthews
--Al Gore
--The, uh, Rev'run Thacksunnn
--Al Sharpton
--Carol Mostly Fraud
--BJ Clinton
--KOilForIncome Annan
--Queasy Mfume
--Julian Bond
--Maxine Muddywaters
--Dusty Harry (Reid)
--Tom Daschle is deeply saddened
--Richard Gere
--Susan Sarandon
--Sean Penn
--Chevy Chase
--Whoopi F. Doo Goldberg
--Cameron Diaz
--Lucy Liu
--Natalie Portman
--Bruce Stringsfeen (sorry,Brit)
--Alan "CryptKeeper" Colmes
--Bob Beckel
--MATT DAMON!!!
--Alec Baldwin
--Elton John
--Ed Asner
--Dustin Hoffman
--Garry Trudeau
--the "Boondocks" cartoon wuttbipe
---a cast of thousands
Let the U.S. match, dollar for dollar, what these sanctimonious, a-hole know-it-alls have contributed as of 12midnight tonight. The loudest protesters get to contribute the most money.
My other modest proposal is, should they be unwilling to do so, as I suspect they will, that they all go down to their favorite snobbish elitist coffee house, and have a nice teeming cup of STFU.
And while they're drinking it, they can read my tagline.
Pfft.
Bush was denied an election night celebration in 2000. Out of sheer arrogance and spite he was denied his celebration in 2004. In 2000 he had spoiled children lining the walks on one side unable to accept his presidency, and Clinton refusing to quit the premises until you almost felt the big cane extending out to drag him off stage. This year these same spoiled children refuse to accept the clear reality he is our President and plan to protest again, and the Libs want Bush to cancel his festivities because they are sore losers.
TOUGH.
We're having the celebrations. I only wish I could be there to rub it in the elite's faces. I'll have to make do with the elite's here at home. We won. We celebrate. Deal with it.
They hate being reminded he won. They don't want to celebrate his victory. They don't want to be reminded they are the minority. They don't want to have to give him coverage that, while it'll include Liberals taking cheap hateful shots, will by nature allow the public to hear positive coverage of the President. they don't want the public to once again see their lunatic base pushing middle Americans even further away. They don't want ordinary Americans to see the Truth, that thousands will be in the capitol to cheer this man out of the deepest respect and affections of their heart. They don't want people to be reminded that it is impossible to hate this man, easier to forget when coverage of the president du-humanizes him but impossible to mask when the coverage isn't diluted. They don't want to allow an opportunity for the American people to hear G.W. take his message directly to the American people in his speech bypassing the propaganda of the media (you can believe G.W. will use this opportunity to the max for the policies he will advocate the next four years).
There are many reasons they don't want G.W. to have his inauguration. None motivated by selflessness or concern for troops OR victims of the tsumami.
