My choices are Salvation Army and Christian Children's fund. Both have experience and infrastructure in many parts of the world including Sri Lanka and Indonesia. They are aware of the problems and have the best chance of organizing quickly.

Nevertheless go here: http://www.canada.com/health/story.html?id=5353eb4f-3557-4b2d-83e8-13096712bcbd for an article about some of the obstacles all organizations face.

PS: Sorry about the faux link you'll have to cut/paste.

My choices are Salvation Army and Christian Children's fund.

These are the same two I just donated to.

I've been hearing good things about the latter in the last couple of days on a couple of conservative radio talk shows. I have not been hearing good things about the Red Cross.
