Oh, gawd, just freakin' shoot me. I am so sick and tired of this crap. Weren't all these annoying liberals supposed to move to Canada when George won again?
To: Ellesu
For example, Bo and Luke ask a group of African-American college students for directions. "Is this a joke? Some kind of reality show?" one of them asks. Bo, the dimmer of the Dukes, explains the flag is cool and that their friend Cooter, a Civil War buff, painted it when he fixed the car. But Luke understands, and explains to Bo that some people find the flag offensive and a "symbol of slavery." That Luke, he always was perty' smart.I was already planning on missing this movie. If this scene is in there I know I will miss it.

Like anyone was going to see this movie anyway.

It's not a controversy to as many people as the media makes it out to be.

I'm black and I loved the General Lee. Every kid black or white that I know loved that show, and that car. I watched it religiously.
Before the era of political correctness no one found it offensive.

Lukes observation is true enough, but does he mention that said people who take offense at the CBF are dimwitted ignorant anti-Southern bigots?

I would never go see the movie, but I wouldn't mind seeing some photos of Jessica Simpson wearing really short cut-off blue jeans.

Best I can do for a picture of the roof is a toy model car.
All the pictures from the show show it from the bottom as it's jumping over something!

What the holy hell? I'm not pro-Confederacy, but this is THE DUKES OF MF'N HAZZARD!
How hard is it to just make a movie where two Southern moonshiners and their crazy relatives and friends drive around in a cool car and outwit/outdrive the crooked county government?
All I want is to see Bo and Luke defeat a crooked band of counterfitters/smugglers/bank robbers and have Daisy look hot. Is that too much to ask?
To: Ellesu
The Duke Boys will get the last laugh when their movie wins the Academy Award for Best Picture.
To: Ellesu
They should have just kept going and modernized the movie completely by making Bo and Luke gay, Daisy a butch feminist, while Uncle Jesse and cooter run a meth lab.
Boss hog and the sheriff could lead a SWAT raid against Uncle Jesse, bust in and gun everyone down....only to realize they are at the wrong address.

One cannot realistically have a General Lee without the CBF. OTOH, they should use a '67 VW with a drunk driver and call it the Ulysses S. Grant.

Well, that little blurb was enough for me to decide not to see the movie. I was a big fan of the series, but it is really pathetic how they've taken a great show and PC'd it rather than remaining faithful to it.
