You don't. The infrastructure won't support that amount of traffic. Also, the resultant panic would cause an unbelieveable number of fatalities.

a NYC evacuation in a few hours time is truly a Nightmare scenario.

Yepper - I now live in the southern 'burb of Atlanta.

I lived through a few NYC Evacuations - Snow and hurricane a bunch of years ago. The Snow Emergency took me 7 hours to get clear of the city. The hurricane evac took less time, but foks new in advance that it was on the way and didn't come to work.

I have no desire to go back there - even to visit.
