My personal notice of media bias
WSAZ TV 3, CHARLESTON, WV
Posted on 12/30/2004 5:03:10 AM PST by Armedanddangerous
May I vent for just a second? This morning, about 6 AM I was getting ready for work, pulling on my shoes and thinking about going for doughnuts, as I have been good all through the Christmas season diet wise, when I made the mistake of turning on the tv.

Just when was the last battleship built anyway? Was it the New Jersey in the 1940s?

The Iowa Class were the last built in WWII. The New Jersey is one of them. I am not sure of the construction order.

It's true.
That is why I could never understand how someone like Clinton was regarded as an intelligent individual ... he spoke like a man who had no education. It was all catch phrases delivered in an emotive and lame prose style geared to the most uneducated and untutored audiences.
Taking his sentences apart left one with the questions... 'what did he say?' or 'what is he talking about?'...or 'he did not answer the question.'
That is typical of politicians generally but Clinton was the worst and I resented it the most because he was so 'hyped' to all of us as the most intelligent man. For my money, he always sounded and still sounds like a babbling idiot. 'The definition of 'is', is. Don't' make me laugh.
Anyway, what is the generation which regarded HIM as intelligent going to know about uninformed and numb-skull news announcers?

A bunch of us threatened a local station with a boycott if they did not change from CBS news. They changed half so far to fox.

Got a link to a picture of her. I read the profile but couldn't figure out who she is by looking at their home page.
I really think you should email her and the station manager. She may JUST be a text reader but if she gets enough complaints she'll have words with the writers.

On the day after the disaster a left-wing idiot on PRI (Public Radio International apparently a NPR clone) said the event was attracting major Western attention
because of the presence of Western tourists at the resorts. Your tax dollars at work?

The locals are a lot more responsive. They have to be. And when the affiliates get tired of grabbing their ankles for their nets, the affiliates can give their networks a real hotfoot.

It could be worse....I live in the Houston, Texas area and there is only one newspaper...The Houston Comical....
They just can't understand why their circulation is 545,000 in an area of more than 5 million people.....
A good manager would flush the managers of this outfit as effectively as a pre-federally-regulated commode.....

Fineman was also a piece of work spouting about how it was so important for GWB to address the crisis immediately and that the amount being pledged was less important to the people affected
I doubt the people caught in this disaster are watching TV or reading newspapers. The only thing that matters is action and our ships and planes are pulling up right now with food, water, shelter, and medicine.

I have noticed this bias on two other channels. As I passed thru CBS this am. Harry Smith pointed out that Spain pledged twice as much as US. Similar thing last night. Quickly changed the channel.

I agree. The funnier thing is these talking heads make the same mistakes over and over and over when they tell the same story 6 times an hour.
The idiots on the local morning NBC station here in Santa Clara county are the worst readers I have ever seen on tv. The script writers need to dumb down the text per talking head, as all are not equally literate.
The MSM has failed the public.

Thailand is a cesspool of white slavery and pedophilia.
Aceh in Sumatra was a center for the genocide of Christians.
We should not be too quick to restore these places to the way they were.

That's right. We should start enforcing our laws against treason and sedition. Traitors must be treated as spies.
