May I vent for just a second? This morning, about 6 AM I was getting ready for work, pulling on my shoes and thinking about going for doughnuts, as I have been good all through the Christmas season diet wise, when I made the mistake of turning on the tv.
Thanks for the name. And to think the Brits pay a tube tax for that.
You can tell from listening and watching them stumble over words and negotiate around concepts that they are seeing and hearing these things for the first time in their lives.
They have a lot of trouble with numbers too.
It's all show business. They're just a bunch of actors and actresses playing a role.
I tuned in a :15 after the hour and was treated to some bleeding heart story about a couple who had to spend 28 hours on a NW airline plane. I missed the first part so don't know the particulars but given all the tsunami horror I would have been embarrassed to go on TV and complain and Today should be too.
I heard this same crap on the radio early this morning as part of a national news broadcast. Except I think they said it was four hours. My blood boiled.
NBC = CBS, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Can't believe most of the garbage they spew. Anytime they can make American look bad, they do. Guess they have forgotten "United We Stand, Divided We Fall".
Go out an have a wonderful day and just let her stupid comments roll off your back. Happy New Year!
1. I doubt this. They never source these "figures" unless it's sourced from some amorphous "study".
2.If this is pretty much a verbatim quote, the syntax if awful and I've heard enough awful syntax from the talking heads.
She easily does it 75% of the time. Over the holidays she was off and another lady did the morning report and did it in much less antagonistic fashion. Just the slight change made it all the more obvious how Hart twists almost every story.
Gosh, I wonder if *she's* liberal.
NBC rots your brain.
It is frightening how many people are taught in college that language is meaningless and can be "deconstructed" into the latest politically correct slogans. Some students like to be told that topics such as language, history and science are useless. It is so easy to accept simple slogans that can give one certitude about everything. One can then feel superior to the un-anointed simpletons who grapple with difficult concepts and who cannot condense all of their thoughts into simple sound bites.
I have to admit, doing this is fun.
It's all gone from my brain now. I am excited to be having a three day weekend and will be spending a glorious weekend home catching up on my writing and sleeping.
Get people together. Threaten the advertisers with a boycott if they do not pull out.
Anything to keep pumping that anti-American bias wherever possible.

And on a local basis that might work very well. I bet there were a lot of people incensed by this. I've called my local stations a few times. They're a lot more sensitive than the big boys and are well aware that scat flows downhill.
Oh, and I forgot about the ten very nice Partagas cigars I got for Christmas. I might smoke a few of those too.
The libs will never get it. The main reason they lost the election was due to their inclination to "blame America first".
They seem clueless to how their attitude pisses off ordinary Americans. They just can't help it...any prominent news story becomes a platform for dissing America. Will they ever figure out that "new media" has provided a platform for publicizing their UNPATRIOTIC ravings? They seem to believe the MSM can still cover for them, making it seem like they're in the mainstream.
Just as an aside, CNN just "reported" that for budget reasons we might not build an aircraft carrier and stop "battleship construction". Guess what? We haven't build a battleship since WWII.
CNN needs to get some real men writing their articles.
I can just see the writers, "don't you mean battlethip?".
