Looks like Porter Goss is not twiddling his thumbs. Hopefully, many good patriots will step up and serve their country. If I were younger, I would. God Bless all who serve.

On 9/12 after checking out the military websites and finding out that I was too old, the first place I applied to was the CIA. Never heard back, despite having a lot of useful life experience. :(
I did find a place to serve with the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Things are changing .. probably dramatically .. at the CIA. Bush has had enuff!!! Why not try again? If the militiary can call back a 70 yr. old dentist with bullet wound expertise, anything is possible (he's in Afghanistan).

Hmm, I've been telling chicks I'm a CIA agent. Might as well really become one.

Finally, get some new blood. Fresh minds. and hopefully find out if any new recruit has best seller ambitions. It's call who are you here to serve. Yourself or the United states. That ought to weed out a few bad apples.

Too bad they do so much of their recruiting in Ivy League colleges. They're guaranteed to get swamped with liberal cheese-headed applicants.

I agree, look at the Air Marshall fiasco. The first thing they do is put them in suits and paint a big target on their backs. Save us from the Washington beauracrats.

I thought that was true across the board as well. Then, I talked to a friend who has a family member who's an Air Marshall .. he was told that is untrue. I flew this past week, and it was obvious that the two men who boarded the plane before even I in a wheelchair were marshalls. They were NOT in suits .. but they stood out because of their boarding procedure. This may have been what they wanted, so apparently there's not a cut-and-dried policy.

Rain? Well, there's moss growing on my body....but other than that...
Ha!
I had a WONDERFUL CHRISTmas! My son came home for a short visit, the whole family was laughing around the dinner table again.
Life doesn't get much better than that!
I hope yours was as wonderful!!!

Have you heard about the latest class of Assigns graduating from the CIA School?
The class composed of a couple of men and one woman were about to take their final exam. The Instructor lead the group down a long hall and stopped in front of the classroom door and pulled out a gun into which he immediately chambers a bullet.
He then instructs the first male student to take the gun and go into the room and kill whoever he finds in the room.
The student enters the room and sees his wife tied to a chair. He raises his gun, but he just can't bring himself to shoot, so he leaves the room and hand the instructor back the gun and fails the test.
The instructor then gives the gun and the same instructions to the second man you then enters the room. He finds his wife tied to a chair and try as hard as he could he also could not bring himself to shoot, so he leaves and fails the test.
The instructor then turns to the woman and tells her she is his last hope, and gives here the gun and instructs her to go into the room and kill whoever she finds in the room.
She finds her husband tied to a chair in the room, and considers what she should do.
The instructor waiting in the hall suddenly hears, BANG, then a second later hears BANG, BANG, then he hears BANG. BANG, BANG, BANG!! After a second of silence he then hears CRASH, SCREAMS, and then THUD!! followed by silence.
A second or two later the door opens and the woman steps out fixing her hair and makeup.
The instructor then asked what happened?
She responds, "Some idiot put blanks in the Gun so I had to kill him with the chair."
