A rare photo of Teddie Kennedy sober enough to stand upright. Doing what Democrats do best during a crisis. Nothing constructive or helpful. Standing in line to sign a book of condolences. A real contribution from a United States senator. Because as a Democrat, he's sensitive. He'll sign the book, or wear the ribbon or whatever the photo op requires. Something to pass the time before he starts attacking the Bush Adminstration for not doing enough to help. Like him. Or maybe this whole thing just reminds him of Chappaquiddick.

He's good at feeling sorry for drowning victims. He's just bad at helping them.
Which explains why he is the heart and soul of his party.

C'mon, be nice. After all, Ted only killed one person. And he can't be held responsible for the rapes at the Kennedy compound. Where is you sense of Christmas...ooops, sorry, Holiday Season compassion?

It looks like Teddy is counting his pocket change from last nights binge, >> no looking for a pen to sign the book. He's just so generous with our money, why not his own?

He must have caused it by jumping from his sail boat.

I know you meant it sarcastically but you touched on something there. One of my personal flaws is an inability to sympathize with drunks. I refuse to buy any of the excuses, and am a very bad person I'm sure, but I find them very, very low creatures. Teddy's whole life has been one long escape from paying for his drunken mishaps. I have not an ounce of sympathy for him. None.

He's starting to remind me of Marlon Brando.

Hey Ethyl, for your information, Senator Kennedy did float to the top (or surface, at least) at Chappaquiddick, just like a ...turd... so there... next thing you know, you FR types will be mocking other distinguished Democratic senators like Robert Byrd...

Voluntary euthanasia would be a far better response on his part, IMHO.

I think rank hypocrisy is the line you are looking for. The Kennedy's are only worth several hundred million. It takes a lot of dough to keep up their compounds and pay legal bills for their sundry violations of the law. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll get around to sending YOUR tax dolllars. After all, that's what they are for.
