I think it was basketball, but I didn't even know Virginia Intermont EXISTED!

It is basketball. I was watching TV and the scores came across the bottom of the screen. Thought it was a typo.

Furman had a player named Frank Selvey who scored 100 points
in one game during 1955. he averaged fifty points a game or thereabouts for the entire year.
