Yes, hard to say whether the ceiling is actually that low, or it's an effect of the fact that there is no light bouncing off the ceiling. At any rate, rooms with no windows give me the creeps.

I agree but it is funny though rooms with lights in the ceiling seem worse. We have a 2 story office block at work and one side has no windows but the other side has windows all down one side but it still seems very low though I am told it is average height for modern buildings.
