Had a middle eastern studies class where the Professor's assistant refused to explain how Islam spread so fast in twenty years... she insisted it was through trade. Our actual professor made us read a comic book called Palestine where all Israelis were either evil Soldiers and ignorant civilians. He once advertised a protest at the capitol(East Lansing, Michigan) decrying the Israeli treatment of the Palestinians... I joined the Hillel counter protest.

I quickly learned to just plug my nose through the humanities requirements so I could focus on real academics, namely my Computer Science degree. I loved MSU, but some of the professors there in the humanities and "soft sciences" were such imbeciles.
