I never found the show interesting. Eileen grates on my eardrum. Jay grated on my conservatism. This isn't the only show they need to fix. They need to get Gary back because Roe, by himself, is lame.

Eileen's a good kid, but in that time slot she's now up against Laura Ingraham fer cripe sakes. That's a pretty tough order.
Sorry to see Jay go. In the days before email, I sent him a contrary FAX and he called me up after the show 'cause he wanted to beat my @$$. Those were the days.
But that wasn't the best team-up for him. I rarely agreed with him but he was honest about what he is. Later Jay.

I couldn't leave it alone, he is such a pompous dogchild, so I emailed him from several of my other accounts. Yep, it irritated the heck out of him. That's funny.

That's when I stopped listening also. It was impossible to listen to Jay discuss condoms of any variety. In fact, I don't want to hear about condoms on the radio at all, ever, from anyone. Thank God I found 560 am.

Too bad Jay couldn't figure out how to cross over from the Dark Side and move in the direction of conservatism.Too bad he had to be so subjective -- such an irrational posturer.
But come to think, maybe I'm being just repeating what you wrote. ;-`

Thanks, Rollee, for the good news! Unfortunately for Eileen Byrne, I am already "hooked" on the Laura Ingraham show. WLS kept that insane blathering fat-headed illogical mentally impaired liberal on too long. I stopped listening when he turned on President Bush and started reciting MichaelMooreisms. You know what they say, "you snooze, you lose"! I guess the "management" of WLS never heard of that or never believed anyone would compete with them. They snoozed when they let Don & Roma go right before the election, they snoozed while Jay Marvin talked over Eileen, even though many people complained about him, and the best part will be waiting for Moe Ronn, er, I mean Roe Conn (not his real name), to GO AWAY. Personally, I enjoy the brilliance and clear-headed thinking and discussion on the Michael Medved show. It will be a happy new year as soon as Teri O'Brien gets a better time slot. She is the only one left at WLS to whom I care to listen. Thanks again for the heads up!

Honest????? The guy is an independently wealthy out-of-countrol deranged guilty liberal who thinks "counseling" is the answer to everything. What is honest about THAT? Besides which, he changed positions several times. That's honest? "I'm behind Pres Bush and the War on Terror." "Pres Bush is in of the House of Saud and we should not be in Iraq." That is one example of his "honesty." He held those positions yet could never ever give a logical true reason for his turning on Bush. Apparently his tin-foil hat was defective. I sure hope he seeks "counseling." I disagree that he is "honest." We have no way of knowing that anyway. Liberalism does not encompass "honesty"; liberalism is delusional thinking so by definition, the term Honest Liberal is like Jumbo Shrimp - an oxymoron. Jay Marvin is an oxymoron, an ox and a moron! Good riddance!

Isn't his real name Steve Dull? I never heard so much dead air in my life. How he has managed to cheat a living from dead air between commercials, preaching liberalism, and fighting with his wife, makes me wonder. I stopped listening to him years ago when he made it clear that he thought the Constitution is a "living breathing document" (that means you can KILL it) which was him simply parroting his pro-abortion Catholic lawyer wife, who is in the top five of THE most annoying women I've ever had to listen to.
I did like disco demolition though...

I liked Jay Marvin. He kept me on the air for a good ten minutes, it was a fun conversation. I don't think he was bad for the radio station he was quite entertaining. Hopefully he'll go to AM 560.

Marvin preferred to talk about his mental difficulties than about anything meaningful. Eileen will do just fine on her own.

Relax. He's always been a loony liberal. He is just honest about it and speaks civilly to his peers who disagree with him.
He's a nut, and he's my nut. I still like him for being himself.

I hope he doesn't go to WIND. I like Jay. He has called me a brain stem from his old days, (I tried to debate him with out having my links and facts readily at hand), and he has praised me. But long ago I switched from him to Neil Boortz and now to Laura Ingraham.
But if WLS was to pick up Boortz I would go back during that time slot.

I really liked Jay. He was a lefty with a brain. I listened to him for years and he provided a lot of good perspective without delivering talking points. He seemed to be coming around to our point of view on a lot of issues , but there was something deep inside him that would not let him. He is a communist at heart even though he is a sellout and an elite due to his income. Lately he seemed to fall into using a lot of DNC talking points and that saddened me. I thought he was smarter than that. I want to see Teri and Art get that spot.

I agree with everything you said, Big Sky Guy. And it's just like Jay to say that he's happy to be out...but he probably isn't. He is such a finger-pointing, bombastic, insincere jerk...in my opinion, of course.
