Broomed!
Retire or be fired....
Now, if Goss can end the "Zero Defect Mentality" at the CIA, we'll be headed in the right direction.
Now my girl Rice needs to do the same at the liberal entrenched State Department. I hope she is as tough as Goss has been at the CIA.
Drop the broom and get the fire hose to clean out the clintonistas and stale beaurocrats.
Excellent.
bttt
The only question is what took bush so long?
Another one bites the dust.
Is this the "top analyst" who told the President, when he was considering the invasion of Iraq that, finding WMD in Iraq would be a "slam dunk"? And that the Iraqis would welcome and join the liberation effort after the invasion?
Is this the "top analyst" who warned Bush about the Chinese air force playing chicken vs our P-3 recon aircraft? Who tipped the President off about Libya's nuclear program? Who urgently sought the President's ear about islamists preparing to seize multiple airliners in coordinated suicide operations as per "bojinka"... ???
Might this "top analyst" now be planning to join Joe Wilson, Sandy Berger, Richard Clarke Madeline Albright et al, in milking the taxpayers for contracted 20-20 hindsight think tank "WE TOLD YOU SO" studies?
If you want to make an omelet, you've got to break some eggs.
Hopefully this person is one of the recent providers of crappy intelligence and/or a leaker to the NYTimes.
Thank GOD!!!
I've had the same question - Even more so when W awarded the Medal of Freedom to her equally inept boss, Tenet. I am having trouble with the rewarding of loyalty over competence that seems to be present.
wish they would just call it - fired - or s&^%-canned. The spin always leaves the impression that these are effective people whose principles will no longer allow them to server *** this administration **** when in reality they are the barnacles on ship of state which has needed a good scraping for a decade.
Tenet probably had some classified successes and may have been politically useful to the prez during the Goss change-over. I'm just speculating here.
As much as I would like to see it, I don't see anything similar happening at State. Pehaps State may whither and die on the vine, along with our information channels with the decrepit and declining nations that value diplomacy.
Rapid and calndestine acquisition of information is the future and so is the CIA. State is for dinosaurs.
Tenet wasn't THAT bad...and he deserved some recognition for doing as much while his funding was gutted and the previous occupant of the White House refused to see him
So am I. Doing so, looks incompetent as well. Hope W stops this insulting pattern.
