Now you're talking! That's an excellent idea. A place garnered by an attitude of success and affirmation, and full of resources. I'd be one of your first customers if it were local... If that's something you'd enjoy, it's something you may wish to pursue.

I'm too tired to look up examples right now, but it seems all too often people who believe they are bad at something end up becoming the best.

ftlpdx - How much money do you expect a min wage worker to save? And how is he helped when a natalist culture breeds millions of new people to compete with him and depress his already-low wage?

JFK_Lib - Choosing to bear children is a matter for God to decide, IMO, and the best security any older couple can have is to have plenty of children that can take care of them in their old age, not to depend on the state to stick them in a home and get shelved. The poverty resulting from 'too many' children is exagerated.

ftlpdx - But how does conservatism cherish and nurture the uninsured when it leaves them to their own devices?

JFK_Lib - Great questions that are really challenging to conservatives. I think some of them are Social Darwinists, but most are Christian and believe in the Soveriegnty of Gods Providence, that opportunity and the protection of law are all the government is really obligated to provide, and that people who are in careers can generally afford some kind of insurance or else depend on charity.

I am not a conservative, though I used to be, so I can only answer how I would have before. Today I think that the government should take the lead in helping people to have options and that can take many forms.

Damn few of of them, these days. The conservative Democrat is a nearly extinct breed.

Explain to us how promoting more serial killing of the unborn advantages those you claim to desire to get 'more' out of life? Is killing the innocent your solution, liberal?

I will get a cite for you, but tell me, do you seriously dispute my assertion, or are you just hassling me?

Naaah, I don't seriously dispute the general trends, but some analysis never hurts. The big thing that jumped out at me was that ten million people and some change were *eligible* for some form of governmental health care, but didn't take it. That knocks the oft-quoted 43 million number down by 25%.

There are folks here who like to hassle people in general, I'm not one of them. After I asked you for the source, I got curious and googled it, and pretty quickly found the US Census site, so I posted it.

One of the things I love about FR is that, generally speaking, posters are not only encouraged to cite sources, but the sources themselves get vetted. It's actually a great site to do research on. :)

Oh, and sorry to hear about your illness. Best of luck with finding a better job!

De-emphasizing doesn't mean they've changed their position - they are just hoping people will forget their position.

What else would it take for you to vote for a Democrat?

This wasn't asked of me, but I'll give you my answer:

Absolutely, positively, indisputably nothing will be enough for me to pull a lever or punch a card for a Democrat ever.

Well stated. I agree. BIG BUMP!

Again, good questions.

I think that Americans may have to reaquaint themselves with having extended families living under one roof in the near future.

While this is unpleasant and not preferable, it beats having a lower income lifestyle and/or having the state controling/monitoring almost every aspect of your life as the Mega-Welfare-State proved to imply.

Neither abortion or homosexuality will promote and endure their survival because of the lack of procreation

The problem is not so simple since the homos recruit among the clueless young either though molestation or seduction. Also the porno industry is inundated with homosexuality being portrayal. People can be programmed into it through porn. The body can learn to react sexually essentially being programmed into it. Also what most people do not understand that beyond the body being physiologically programmed into responding to homosexuality there are hordes of demons that unconsciously and continuously speak to people provoking into homosexuality through lies. These demons enter into peoples lives when the doors of their souls are opened to them through many avenues such as when people are molested as children, open themselves up through pornography, "inherit" these demons through family lines or even through their acceptance through the "learning" about the "normalcy" of homosexuality in our schools. Demons that have been given or taken room up in a persons life must be aggressively dealt with and "kicked out" by faith in and through Jesus Name. This is a component often ignored or not excepted by individuals who are attempting to become liberated from the homosexual life style. People must repent, renew their minds and bodies through the Word of God and also cast demons out of their lives. This is the over all problem with homosexuality. They do not reproduce through genetics but rather immorality, seduction and demons which are rampant apart from agressive resistence by those who are moral and ready to take up the spiritual arms as the Christian Soldiers we are called to be.
