Bob Mulholland, official spokesman for the California Democratic Party, recently referred to Gov. Arnold Schwarzeneggers support for redistricting as a Hitler-esque power grab.
The comment, made just days after Schwarzenegger led the annual Capitol Hanukkah celebration, was published in the Capitol Morning Report, a newsletter read religiously by political insiders and news reporters in Sacramento.
Although Mulhollands comparison of the governor and the man who slaughtered millions of innocent people surely reached the desk of every policymaker in California, only one responded.
Republican Assemblyman Todd Spitzer, a board member of the Anti-Defamation League in his Orange County district, was quoted in the next days Morning Report as saying, Bob Mulholland owes a public apology to Governor Schwarzenegger and to all Californians for a terrible misuse of a characterization that should be reserved for only the most heinous acts of misconduct.
Mulholland, who has never shied away from attempting to link Schwarzenegger to his fathers Nazi past, came back the next day with a tepid apology.
I was talking about the power grab regarding the redistricting proposal by Schwarzenegger and nothing else in regards to the words Hitler-esque type of power grab, Mulholland said. I apologize to those who were offended by the use of the word Hitler-esque. I will use other words in the future to describe the power grab.
And that was that. There were no calls for Mulhollands resignation by Jewish lawmakers or interest groups. Democrats did not publicly reprimand their mouthpiece. Until now, the incident was not reported to the general public by any major newspaper. Mulholland continues to serve as the California Democratic Partys official spokesman.

...the Hiter-esque Left!
Oh, dear. Bobby's off the meds again.
I expect that we'll be hearing more about this tomorrow, both on the KSFO Morning Show (San Francisco), and then on Rush Limbaugh (especially if Roger Hedgecock of San Diego is hosting again).

As emotional as Bob gets about Republicans, he's headed for a heart attack. He's one of the nastiest POS in the RAT party.
Isn't there some kind of rule that states something to the effect that "the first one in an argument to invoke Hitler or the Nazis automatically forfeits the argument"?
Hehe, this guy lost right out of the box.
Bob Mullholland is the Yosmite Sam of Calif. politics
Typical scum dems. Double standards, through and through.
One of the attributes of a Dueling Society -- is that you didn't have to endure the "Bob Mulhollands" for very long...
Their alligator mouth would get their Hummingbird ass shot off.
A Dueling Society is a polite society...
Semper Fi
He is the party spokesman, and Art Torres seems to encourage his behavior. The whole damn lot should be sent packing.
What a slimey character!
I'm hard-pressed to find a more despicable spokesperson... (well, carEVILe and the forehead , begala, do come to mind.) ;-)
LOL! Classic pic!
I heard him on talk radio earlier this year. He definitely fit the definition of "whack job." I can't think of a worse spokesman... although Art Torres does come close.
I don't care for either Carville or Begala....but they do have more of a professional class ( they don't drool and stammer ) than Mulholland .....at least as they come across on
the TV....
Carville and Begala classier than Mulholland.
A testimonial... but not a very complimentary one! LOL!
Ernest... do you listen to talk radio?
FYI, David Horowitz is going to be on the Al Rantel show (KABC) tomorrow evening (not sure which hour).
Carol Liebau is sitting in for Al the rest of the week... she's good. :-)
I sometimes listen when in the car although usually I have KJAZZ on....love the Jazz music...
A foul-mouthed Lefty. Nice to see he speaks for Blue State Californians.
