I think we should require an IQ test, along with a background check, before issuing gun permits.

I, too, am a little nervous when I hear gunshots in this neighborhood. After all, houses here are a little close together even though we are in the suburbs. We are on 3 to 5 acre lots in my little space, but there are homes all around. There are, also, still vacant plats of land dispersed throughout our neighborhood.
I have to hope that whoever is doing the shooting is smart enough to take all precautions. I do believe it is the ignorant who are likely to be dangerous. If they are taught correctly about weapons, they will act responsibly. However, should I ever find out who it is, I will make sure to ask them to be extra careful. Maybe you could check with your neighbor just to ease your mind?
ROFL! Hubby was telling me that one of the questions on the Federal firearms permit is "Are you an idiot?" (meaning "one who has no self-control). I just wonder if anyone's ever answered "yes" to that!! He he he!
