A legal confrontation is playing out here as a student organization seeks official recognition and money from a state-run university even though the students plan to exclude non-Christians and gays...
These folks havent got a prayer.
This seems analogous to universities receiving federal funding and discriminating against military recruiters.
Make a bone smuggler room for them...out back near the crappers. They'll stay away.
Very funny.
I've just obtained a copy of their rules.
1. No poofters
2. No member of the faculty is to mistreat the Abos
(aborigines) in any way at all. If there's anybody
watching.
3. No poofters
4. Now, this term, I don't want to catch anybody NOT
drinking
5. No poofters
6. There is NO....rule 6.
7. No poofters.
This here's the wattle, the emblem of our land. You can stick in a bottle, you can hold in your hand, amen.
They don't have a chance of winning this one for sooo many reasons. If they come up with a creative/justifiable argument of getting public money and recognition for a religious group which discriminates based on sexual orientation I would love to hear it.
/sarcasm
Maybe they do. The article cited a case where a similar group at the University of Ohio force the university to recognize them and allow their organization.
Curious, but does this state run University allow them to exclude non-students? If so, why?
Interesting. However, I have known a man who was a practicing homosexual AND a professed Christian (and a very nice guy). Would their group deny a Christian because of a drug/drinking/party/promiscuity problem? If not, then their rejection of a different type of sinner is baseless.
That said, I would guess that when a person applies for membership they must also promise to maintain a Chrstlike lifestyle and any party animals, sexually promiscuious and such would be rejected.

Exactly what needs to be done! What we and the parents and taxpayers in the State need to do is to DEMAND that these students rights be honored. If Not then a review of the people running this Taxpayer funded Instution needs to be done along with the Faculty.
Their backgrounds, yes a security check of their backgrounds and Political Views should also be looked at. In light of our recent attacks this is not to much to demand. Let's face it, these Professors can breed insurection as the Socialist already have only they are looking for a Velvet Revolution.
An evaluation of their Tenure and whether Tenure should even be allowed. Tenure should be ablolished!
That is.... honest or obvious gays..
Good thing you weren't leading the troops on St. Crispin's Day. :-)
DOes the University have any clubs that are exclusive--i.e. science club--ski club--choir? do they have a Jesse
HiJackson club for blacks only?A Hispanic alliance? Seems to be if they have even one club that is exclusive of any
this club ought be allowe. Seems the club has not said
homosexuals would not be excluded-- only that they could not be part of the club leadership-which is reasonable because one cannot be a Christian and of the devil For once
one is born of the water and the blood all things are made new and there are NO queer Christians(only frauds who claim the namebut not salvation.
