After chuckling at your joke, it occurred to me...that's nothing but the plain, unvarnished truth. I mean, usually it's not. Usually it's an exaggeration or surrealism, but this time it's a flat statement of fact.

Investigators were suspicious about the report because the head carving was backwards, as if done while looking into a mirror. He's still a victim. He had a defective mirror that shows everything backwards. ;)

Occasionally on base they'll have some kid working as a grocery bagger or checker who is wearing his hat backwards.
I get a kick out of goofing on them about it, as if I were telling a stranger that his zipper is down, or that he has a glob of chili dog on his shirt front.
"Um, hey, I hate to bring it up, but did you know you have your hat on backwards? I just thought you'd want to know."
