Wow.
I saw a cartoon like that once, a little mouse looking up with his middle finger extended, and this big eagle with talons bared just seconds away from lunch
That would seem most unlikely.
Looking at that poor soul gives me a whole new meaning of the words ... "What a rush!"
The Greens weren't around in '46, therefore no global warming, therefore no tsunami.
And that's all I'm gonna say about it.
"Note the man on pier (lower left)."
What pier?
Unbelievable photo.
I've read about the Hilo tsunami and this man actually walked out on a pier for a better look - he might deserve a Darwin Award. And no he did not survive. One of the most striking photos were the parking meters were bent over so far the practically touched the ground.

Reminds me of the time Ted Kennedy fell off his yacht drunk. By the way, where was Ted when that latest tsunami hit? That was some major water displacement there.
It says he's on a pier, but to me it looks like a surfboard.
Leave it to the Americans.
wow
They were warned 15 minutes after the quake....they did nothing.
Yikes.
Naw! No one would be "standing" nonchalant, arms crossed, not a hair out of place, the wind at God knows how many MPH.Look at his shirt....it's not even blowing one bit. Gimme a break. This photo is like the guy at the twin towers with the suicide plane behind him while he poses for a picture. In this photo weather like this would lift him up like a toothpick!

If he did live he moved to China and took on the tank in the square some decades later.
