If Israel wanted to help Sri Lanka in the future they might want to invest in some early warning tsunami devices for the Indian Ocean. The PM of Australia has proposed the idea as well. Israel has made a fair bit on their arms sales to the region, so maybe they could give a bit back.

Logistics may be difficult---but they did nothing.

Sitting on their hands (and their asses) certainly added to the death toll.

On some of the older boats, they had an isolation valve for the coffee pot you had to shut before you blew the sanitary tanks. Failure to do so made you extremely unpopular for the rest of your tour.

That is the point, that delegation was not coming for a peace treaty, it was coming to offer help and Sri Lanka is in no position to say no because of the terrible circumstances. This is again proof of the lack of tolerance shown by extremists, where they rather have their people die than receive help from someone who despite the fact that never caused them any harm, it perceives it as the enemy. Even the Iranian government did not say no to US and Israeli help during the last earthquake.

That IS NOT Israel's responsibility! In fact, neither is humanitarian aid. They only offer help now out of genuine sympathy and compassion!
