WOW! Did I touch a nerve. This is exactly what I said, "You can call me a conspiracy nut if you want but I am not sold on the idea that the plane was not shot down."

I did not say it had not been taken over by terrorists. You act like I am discounting the action of terrorists on it. I am not. I do know that terrorists took that plane over. Now go back and read my quote. The shooting down that I refer to happens after the terrorists take over the plane.

This is what I believe: Stoe said authorities initially insisted crash debris could not have traveled over a mountain ridge more than eight miles from the crash.

How about providing some information that says that her claims are true?

They have never been denied by investigators.

Now, how about providing some information that proves her claim is untrue?

OK. Then you should also believe the following, which was taken from the same article you are quoting...

"Late yesterday afternoon, however, FBI Special Agent Bill Crowley said experts from the National Transportation Safety Board had checked weather reports and determined that lightweight materials might well have traveled over the mountain by a southwest wind that reached a speed of 9 knots.

"The NTSB says it is not only plausible, but probable," said Crowley. "

Could these be the same FBI agents who insist that Flight 800 was brought down by a defect in the fuel tank? Sure sounds like it to me.
9 knots of wind. Wow, a person would certainly have to be anchored down to keep from blowing away. By the way, did you notice the smoke plume at the crash site? It was going straight up. How do your FBI agents explain that? Lull in the wind?

Great map of the debris field, I just can't get to post.

Oops. I attributed a previous statement to you, put it together with this statement, and responded to something that wasn't even there. Just ignore me.

As far as I know, the FBI never made a determination about TWA 800. But 9 knots of wind is more than enough to blow a burning piece of check stub 8 miles. And without seeing video or a series of photographs of smoke from a fireball, there isn't any way of determining which way the wind is blowing (or how hard). I don't believe a video of the fireball from Flight 93 exists. What does exist is weather observations from the region on 11 September 2001. They say the wind was blowing in a southeasterly direction at 9 knots. Unless you believe the NTSB changed all the weather reports, I'd say it is pretty safe to assume the wind was blowing at about 9 knots that day.

I thought that I read he actually said 'brought down' the plane, but some folks heard it as 'shot down'.

The terrorists exploded a bomb on the plane when the passengers tried to regain control. This is not a conspiracy theory. Passengers on the plane telephoned the ground and said the hijackers had bombs.

That's why there is a big debris field. That's why the government won't release the flight voice recordings. That's why Rummy said the plane was "shot down" or "brought down".

The government has no way to detect bombs being smuggled on planes. They don't want the public to know it because it would harm the airlines. But that's why they are patting down women's breasts lately.

The dot's are all there. We just have to connect them.

By Wednesday morning, crash debris began washing ashore at the marina. Fleegle said there was something that looked like a rib bone amid pieces of seats, small chunks of melted plastic and checks

Explain how the wind blew this stuff into the lake. Also, you do not need to see a video of the smoke from the crash. The still photo shows the smoke going straight up. If there was a breeze the direction of the smoke would not be going straight up.
The FBI backed the finding of the Flight 800 investigation saying it was a fuel tank problem. They discounted all the eyewitness reports and did not even investigate them.

I wonder just "WHO" is drinking coolaid.

This plane was crashed due to passenger interference with the original plan.

There is no evidence but pure speculation to suggest otherwise, and what difference does it make anyway.

Those who start with the assumption that every official story is laced with lies and propaganda need to be taking more meds.

If you don't fix that, you will hurt yourselves. You will join the ranks of the silliest conspiracy nuts on the planet, a trophy now in the possession of the Russians.

They think they know the real truth when in reality, their conspiratorial nature is being used by the government to control their behavior.

While I do not buy the official line about the center fuel tank garbage, I do not believe there is any reason to think that this particular incident happened any differently.

Like I said there was not any wind that morning.

Sorry I missed your post. Thanks for verifying that.

I think he meant brought down (not shot down) in the sense of not letting it land again. It should not be a big deal to anyone. Folks misspeak all the time.

I agree .. but some hang on those mispokes and won't let go
