Agree with you Thor.
I am one of those who spend a lot of time reading the Bible. While it does get tempting to try to read the prophecies and place them in the newspaper, the reality as Peter told us, we probably shouldn't try.
What we can do now is pray for those who lost family. Not all of the people in that area were non Christians, or involved in child prostitution. I am looking for places to donate aid, and would like to have it sent through a Christian relief and/or missionary organization.

True that all in that area are not involved in the child sex trade. But then again - not all here are involved in abortion. And we are - and will be - punished for this sin.
But God punishes both the just and the unjust together - it is his way. Christ told us as much. Such is also self evident in Scripture.

I am looking for places to donate aid, and would like to have it sent through a Christian relief and/or missionary organization. The Vatican, appealing for urgent assistance from world Catholics, said on Tuesday it had raised $6 million so far in emergency aid following Asia's tsunami disaster that killed more than 50,000 people.
Members of church groups like Caritas and Jesuit Refugee Services were also being dispatched to affected countries to reinforce relief efforts, according to Cor Unum, the Vatican organisation that coordinates charity funds.
