Christmas Dinner Leftovers...Who's Hungry?

Burp....scuze me, please pass the green bean casserole...WHAT? IT's GONE!??? Aunt Sherry TOOK IT??

Well gang, if you're a typical family and either hosted a party last night or today or went to the party, then you have two differing dilemmas.

If you hosted the part, chances are good you have a fridge full of leftovers; enough to feed a small army or a couple of teenagers.

If you attended a party, then did you sneek a bowl of broccoli and cheeze or some turkey for a sandwich. When you got home, was there a sense of 'emptiness' in YOUR fridge???

We've got leftovers:

Honey ham, Beef tenderloin, Corn chowdah soup, Brocolli and velveeeeeta casserole, Snowy mashed potatoes, red whine, Jack Daniels' spiced sweet taters...yee haaaw and...tons of cookies

Merry 'urp' Christmas to ALL!! and pass the gravy!

No leftovers..............yet

We haven't eaten yet, only because we've been picking all day.

I made enough tamales to feed an army and there are only 3 of us - so there will be tons of leftovers!!!

Merry Christmas.

We have pink ham leftover from last night. Useless as tits on a boar hog IMHO. But there are deviled eggs!

I have an onion and cheddar cheese casserole, Pappy. Plenty of it cause our company had to cancel. Want some? Or how about candied sweet potatoes? There's still lots of white meat turkey, too, if you're interested.

Oh man, I tell ya, Sometimes I wonder if leftovers are even better than first-overs? Seems there's something about the flavors all blending together and "aging" for a day...at least don't forget about them in the back of the fridge.

I did the beef tenderloins on the grill and left the oven for the womyn folks and their stuff. Thirty mins wrapped in foil and then 15 mins directly on the fire. I used an olive oil, horseradish and garlic rub on them this year and, last night, didn't really taste it in the meat...but the leftovers have a much better flavor now.

We're a lucky people living in a wonderful land aren't we?

My father in law brought some excellent tamales and luckily there are leftovers, as well as his roast goose and goose gravy (the most amazing stuff!).. my Christmas potatoes are all gone unfortunately, but lucky for me I still have pilaf and duck. And of course cookies and candy enough to make a small army sick.
