An overnight snowstorm dumped 10 inches of snow in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The Ewigs had arrived the day earlier to visit relatives for Christmas. Photo by Brent Smith/Reuters

At the peak of the last 10 ice ages this was a daily occurrence for a good half of the year. Thank god for global warming!

Ah yes, the blizzard of '73. Four inches in Houston that year totally shut the city down. I kept a couple snowballs in a freezer for years. Along came hurricane Alicia in '83(?) which knocked out power for a week.....lost my snowballs!

I was thinking about all of the global warming as I was shoveling the 5 inches of snow and ice from my driveway this past Thursday here in central Ohio. Also thinking of all of the overly warm trees with a thick coating of ice that have brought down power and telephone lines, leaving 175,000 people without power on the east side of Columbus since early Thursday. Yep, that old global warming sure is pervasive all over the place. Glad we've got the best scientists telling us what's going on...

For the 'global warming' THEORY to be at least half applicable, you'd expect that the overheated air below the equator would be pushing farther northward than normal, resulting in colder air coming down on our location.

But it isn't! The temperature in Sydney Australia today is in the 70s Farenheit, and nowhere in the northern hemisphere, are up-flow temperatures higher than normal.

It must be an awful situation for anyone schooled in this science, to have to constantly insert this untruthful global warming bias, despite daily evidence to the contrary.

Used to be. I'm about 150 or so miles south. My DIL has been talking to her friend there and she says it's over a foot deep in some areas. We just have patches left now with a little still on roof tops.
