This past June me and a few of my working buds took a bike tour through New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado. While in Arizona we made a stop near Winslow, AZ and seen perhaps the best preserved meteorite crater on Earth.

Of course I had my trusty Kodak digital camera on hand.

Here's a pic.

hrmn.
I saw something peculiar about a week ago (sorry I cannot be more precise) - a pulsing, flaring light source moving very rapidly in a northeasterly direction, trailing a very short-lived tail.

Clearly a direct result of re-electng Bush. I'm sure Sen. Kerry had a plan for this catastrophe that would be more effective and compassionate and also do a better job of preserving the environment as well as jump starting the economy.

I thought Pravda only published stuff like this on April 1st.

No, Pravda has turned into the Russian-language version of the National Star: no reality contact whatsoever. It's full of stories about monkey-women and space aliens and people rising from the dead.

As a rule, meteorites do not fall down on inhabited localities. They prefer to hit seas, lakes, fields and even the Antarctic.

Well, preferences change. Maybe the meteorites are experiencing a cultural shift and will now prefer the Artic, mosques and hotdog stands.

In the latter days there will be signs in the sun the moon and the stars.

No problem. That was Bill Clinton's motorcade chasing a hot-looking babe in a red mustang.

I forget which is the correct meteor investment: is it gold? Or beans? Or toilet paper? Heavy equipment stocks?

Well just damn! Meteor showers do you say?

Here I thought there was global warming and it was Bush's fault because of Kyoto. Then it snowed in Pasadena today. Pasadena, Texas of all fricken places. The weather man said no, it wouldn't snow that far south. It must be an approaching ice age that they were predicting in the 1970's.

I wish they would make up their minds. Or quit smoking crack.

Ok, I know what is happening here. Global warming has caused this. It has created a huge vacuum in our atmosphere that is sucking the meteroites towards our planet. And of course this is Bushes fault for not signing Kyoto.

I saw about seven of them the night before the peak viewing time while I was driving through Louisiana. Pretty cool stuff.

But with Mars as a base, we can truly protect the planet..

Um, One cannot tell if you are being serious or facetious: how would having a 'base' multi-light-minutes away be of any use (other than an extra-planetary hole to piss billion$ into)?

You're lucky the cop didn't catch you.

It won't matter - after we are pummeled from deep space, the buyers will decrease, supply will be high, and obviously the value will go down in the process.

Don't invest in meteors.
