To: Cindy; All

I've been doing a little "light reading" on my vacation time this week, about the crash of EgyptAir Flight 990 off the coast of Nantucket back on Oct. 31, 1999. I have always been and am still firmly convinced this was a terrorist act. Despite the protestations of the Egyptian government, the NTSB finally admitted that Yes, the relief pilot intentionally crashed the 767 into the Atlantic for reasons unknown.

While reading the 160 page official report, something caught my eye in the transcript of the CVR (cockpit voice recorder): on pg. 99, one of the pilots asks "What's with you? Why did you get dressed all in red like that?" From what I can decifer, he was speaking to the relief pilot who moments later crashed the plane.

Does anyone recall this having been made public? And what is the significance?
